Azerbaijan Exhibits Inaction on Clarifying the Fate of Missing Armenian Soldiers, Says Armenian Foreign Ministry

The Azerbaijani authorities have displayed inaction regarding clarifying the fate of missing Armenian soldiers. This statement was made by Haik Sargsyan, head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry's Department of Humanitarian Issues, during an event in Vanadzor dedicated to the International Day of the Disappeared.

“Armenia is taking all possible steps to present the issue to international organizations and courts, also considering that in certain circumstances, enforced disappearances could be regarded as crimes against humanity. Together with our international partners, we continue to take steps toward clarifying the fate of the missing persons. The Armenian side has never politicized humanitarian cooperation and is always open to working with all involved parties. I want to assure that this work will not cease until the fate of all missing persons is clarified,” the Armenian official stated.
