The Consecration Ceremony of the Mother Cathedral Will Take Place on September 29

On August 29, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, a regular meeting of the Coordinating Committee established for the consecration of the Mother Cathedral and the Blessing of the Holy Muron was held at the Mother See. The information was provided by the press office of the Mother See.

For the proper organization of these ceremonies, a Coordinating Committee was established under the direction of His Holiness, which is chaired by His Grace Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, the Head of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The Coordinating Committee has five sub-committees: Protocol, Ritual, Information, Technical Support, and Publications and Event Organization, which are implementing the organizational work for the September events according to a pre-established action plan.

A program for the ceremonies has been prepared by the Coordinating Committee, according to which the main events will take place according to the following schedule:

• On September 28, at 17:00, a Blessing of the Holy Muron ceremony will be held in the Open Sanctuary of St. Trdat.
• On September 29, at 10:30, the consecration ceremony of the Mother Cathedral will take place.

The main events will be widely covered by both local and international media. The consecration of the Mother Cathedral and the Blessing of the Holy Muron ceremonies will be broadcast live.
