Azerbaijani Mosque to Replace St. Haroutiun Church

After demolishing the St. Haroutiun Church in occupied Berdzor, Azerbaijan is constructing a mosque in its place. This was reported by the State Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Artsakh.

According to the statement, “After completely demolishing the St. Haroutiun Church in Berdzor, the Azerbaijani authorities are building a mosque on its site. The State Council had previously announced in September 2022 the intention of the Azerbaijani administration to convert the St. Haroutiun Church into a mosque.”
