Sven-Göran Eriksson Has Died After Prolonged Illness
Sven-Göran Eriksson, former head coach of the England national football team, has passed away at the age of 76. In January, the Swedish expert revealed that he had at most 1 year left to live.
Eriksson spent the majority of his career working with national teams, including England, Mexico, the Ivory Coast, and the Philippines. He also managed several European clubs, including Roma, Benfica, and Fiorentina, and worked in China.
In England, aside from the national team, Eriksson managed Manchester City and Leicester City, and also served as the director of football for Nottingham County.
