Unknown Attacker Stabs Festival-goers: Multiple Victims in Germany
During the celebration of the 650th anniversary of Solingen (North Rhine-Westphalia), an unknown individual launched a knife attack on attendees, resulting in at least three fatalities, reports Solinger Tageblatt.
Additionally, four others were injured, with three of them in serious condition, sources revealed. According to one of the organizers, Philipp Müller, a total of seven people were affected by the attack.
The incident occurred in the Fronhof district, located in the city center. The festivities were interrupted, and police asked attendees to leave the area. The city center has been cordoned off.
As clarified by Bild, the attack happened around 21:45. Eyewitnesses noted that the assailant, who was described as having an “Arab appearance,” fled the scene.
