Armenian Chess Players Win 3 Gold and 2 Bronze Medals

The Armenian Chess Federation summarizes the results of the youth tournament held in Prague, Czech Republic, for the 2024 European Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships.

Accordingly, Armenian chess players have won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals. FIDE Master Alex Sahakyan became the champion in rapid chess for players under 18. Sona Kr.visibility is blurred, Sona Kr.set is k.currently a 14-year-old girl’s blitz chess champion. Sofia Bagramyan became the blitz chess champion for girls under 8, as well as winning a bronze medal in rapid chess.

The Armenian team also earned a bronze medal in the under 10 youth rapid chess team championship. The team consisted of Davit Melkonyan, Ashot Avetisyan, Armen Vardanyan, and Slava Konjoryan, under the guidance of FIDE Master Tigran Gasparyan.
