Accident Near Bank in Artashat City Involves 5 Vehicles, Injuries Reported

On August 21, at 16:39, the crisis management center of the Ararat regional rescue department received a report of an accident near a bank in Artashat city, with injuries reported and a gas leak present.

A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that vehicles involved in the accident included a “Mercedes-Benz” (driver: G. Kh.), “Opel” (driver: H. M.), “Isuzu” (driver: R. A.), “Toyota” (driver: H. S.), and “Volkswagen” (driver: A. K.). As a result of the collision, the “Isuzu” vehicle overturned.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicles from the power supply, closed the gas cylinder valves, and assisted passengers S. M. (born in 2010) and R. K. (born in 2012) from the “Opel” vehicle to the ambulance. The injured were transported to a medical center where doctors assessed S. M.'s condition as serious, while R. K.'s condition was deemed satisfactory.
