Strong Earthquake Strikes Pakistan and Indian Kashmir

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 hit Pakistan and Indian Kashmir early Tuesday morning, causing panic among local residents, according to the Associated Press.

No reports of damage have emerged so far, as stated by officials. The epicenter of the earthquake was located southwest of Kashmir. According to data from the National Seismic Monitoring Center in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, the depth of the tremors was measured at 20 kilometers.

The tremors were felt across much of Pakistan, including Islamabad, parts of eastern Punjab, and the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders Afghanistan.
