Son Who Killed His Mother Found

On August 15, law enforcement officials discovered a son who had fatally cut his mother’s throat in one of the buildings on Garegin Nzhdeh Street in Yerevan. This information was confirmed to Tert.am by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the Ministry, the 25-year-old suspect was found near one of the buildings on Garegin Nzhdeh Street at 21:45 and was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was then taken to the Shengavit Division of the Police. The necessary documents have been submitted to the investigative division.

It is noteworthy that on the same day, August 15, at 09:50, the emergency services of the Yerevan Municipality reported the discovery of the body of a 65-year-old woman in an apartment on Bagratuniats Street, with injuries to her neck, as stated by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Shengavit investigative division of the Yerevan Investigative Department under part 1 of Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code.
