Kim Jong Un: Russia Will Triumph in the 'Holy War for Peace and Justice'

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, in response to President Vladimir Putin's greetings on the occasion of Liberation Day, assured that Russia will achieve victory in the "holy war for peace and international justice." This is reported by Vesti.az, citing RBC.

"I take this opportunity to express my firm belief that under your energetic leadership, the powerful Russian people will steadfastly defend the country’s sovereign rights and security interests, and will undoubtedly achieve victory in the holy war for establishing regional peace and international justice," Kim Jong Un's statement is quoted by the central election commission.

He noted that friendly relations and comprehensive strategic partnerships between countries have become a "powerful driving force for the creation of a new multipolar world."

In a telegram to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which is also quoted by the central election commission, Putin stated that in Russia and the DPRK, "the memory of the soldiers of the Red Army and Korean patriots who fought side by side for the liberation of Korea is respected," and that "the bonds of friendship and mutual assistance established during those difficult days of war continue to serve as a reliable foundation for the development of fraternal relations between the countries." He also expressed confidence that the implementation of agreements reached in negotiations with Pyongyang will contribute to the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
