Former Armenian Minister of Defense David Tonoyan was welcomed by numerous people, including friends, relatives, and loved ones, upon his release from prison. It was announced today that the terms of his detention have changed, and the former official has been released after posting a bail of 15 million drams. He recently exited the "Yerevan-Center" penitentiary.
“Let’s move. I had decided for 3 years that I would walk home,” he said, inviting reporters to accompany him.
He reminded everyone that he had been in custody for 2 years 10 months and 11 days. When asked how he felt, he responded, feeling resilient, strong, and unwavering.
