Germany Issues Arrest Warrant for Ukrainian Suspected in Nord Stream Sabotage

The German Federal Prosecutor's Office has issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian citizen suspected of participating in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines. This was reported by Sueddeutsche Zeitung, citing a joint investigation by ABC television and Die Zeit newspaper.

The suspect, identified as Vladimir T., is noted to be a diving instructor. He is said to have recently been residing in Poland but is currently in hiding.

Additionally, the German prosecutors suspect two more Ukrainian diving instructors, including a woman, of involvement in the sabotage of the pipelines.

It is worth noting that explosions occurred in the pipelines at the end of September 2022, damaging two threads of Nord Stream and one thread of Nord Stream 2. The Russian FSB has initiated a terrorist case. In February 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that the Nord Streams were blown up by the United States.
