14 Drones Shot Down Overnight in Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh: Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian air defense systems reported that 14 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Voronezh regions. This information was shared by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"During the previous night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using drones on objects located in Russia were thwarted. Using air defense systems, 14 drones of aircraft type were destroyed, 12 of which were in Kursk, one in Belgorod, and one in Voronezh," the statement said.
It is worth recalling that on the early morning of February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to carry out a special military operation against Ukraine, as the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics requested assistance.
Ukrainian forces regularly shell and attack border areas of Russia using various methods, including drones, particularly targeting the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh.
