The Security Service of Ukraine has uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme organized by the deputy minister of energy with the support of the minister. The deputy minister of energy has been arrested in Kyiv for a bribery case involving half a million dollars.

According to sources from "Ukrainska Pravda," the arrested official is Oleksandr Khailo. Investigation data indicates that in exchange for this amount, the official promised heads of state enterprises in the Lviv-Volyn coal basin the unrestricted use of mining equipment from frontline areas in Donetsk region by utilizing his powers.
