Prosecutor General Demands Seizure of Immovable and Movable Property from Kajaran Community Leader, Around 1 Billion AMD
The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted the Prosecutor General's latest lawsuit regarding the confiscation of illegally obtained assets. This was announced in a statement from the Prosecutor General's office.
The Department for the Confiscation of Illegally Obtained Property within the Prosecutor General's Office has submitted a demand to the court to seize from Manvel Paramazyan, the leader of the Kajaran community in the Syunik region, and associated persons, the following for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia:
- 6 immovable properties;
- 2 vehicles;
- 1 share in a legal entity;
- 491 million 878 thousand AMD as the remaining amount of illegal income, resulting from the transformation or use of illegally obtained properties;
- 521 million 142 thousand AMD, which is not supported by the individual's legal income, has illegal origins, has been transferred to a bona fide purchaser, or cannot be identified and confiscated;
- A deposit of 5 million 244 thousand AMD.
