Pentagon Chief Orders Acceleration of Aircraft Carrier Deliveries to the Middle East

The Pentagon reports that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has ordered the acceleration of aircraft carrier deliveries to the Middle East due to rising tensions that are raising concerns about regional warfare.

In this regard, the U.S. is reaffirming its support for key ally Israel, following threats issued by Iran and the Hezbollah organization—recognized as a terrorist group by Washington—to take revenge for the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh last month.
