Anticipated Wind Intensification: Weather Forecast

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, on August 9, and 11-13, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain areas after noon. On August 10, dry weather is anticipated. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The wind will be coming from the southeast, with speeds of 2-4 m/s; during thunderstorms, wind intensification is expected at speeds of 18-23 m/s. In the evening hours, wind gusts of 17-21 m/s are anticipated in Armavir, Kotayk, and the foothills of Aragatsotn.

The air temperature will decrease by 3-5 degrees on August 11. In Yerevan, on August 9-10, and 12-13, dry weather is expected. On the evening of August 11, brief rain and thunderstorms may occur in some parts of the city. Wind intensification of 16-20 m/s is also expected in the evening hours.

During the day on August 9, temperatures in the capital will reach 34-36 degrees Celsius, while in the evening they will drop to +29...+31 degrees.
