American singer Taylor Swift's three concerts in Vienna have been canceled after the Austrian government confirmed that attacks were planned during the events. According to reports from Armenpress, the news was first reported by the Reuters agency.
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer stated that the "tragedy has been averted." On his social media page, he mentioned that thanks to the close cooperation among the police, the Security and Intelligence Agency, and foreign services, the threat was identified, and measures were taken against it.
The concert organizers also announced that due to the planned terrorist threats during the concerts scheduled at the Ernst Happel Stadium on August 8, 9, and 10, there is no option but to cancel them for the safety of all. All ticket refunds will be processed.
