Work at the Lars Checkpoint Restored

Work has been restored at the Upper Lars checkpoint for light passenger and passenger transport vehicles. The service for cargo transport vehicles will also be resumed shortly.

This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia. “I would like to inform you that the upgrading work on the Georgian side has been completed, and the checkpoint operations have resumed for light passenger and passenger transport vehicles only. Soon, the service for cargo transport vehicles will also be restored,” Hakobyan noted.

It should be reminded that Upper Lars was closed from 01:00 at night until 10:00 in the morning. Technical upgrade work was carried out there overnight, which resulted in the checkpoint being out of operation.
