Number of Tourists from Turkey Visiting Armenia Revealed

In the period from January to July 2024, a total of 946,162 tourists visited Armenia, which is a 6.1% decrease compared to the same period last year. According to the Statistical Committee, a total of 1,007,346 people had visited Armenia in the first six months of 2023.

During January to June 2024, the highest number of tourist visits to Armenia was recorded from Russia, totaling 395,688 (41.8%), followed by Georgia with 126,927 (13.4%) and Iran with 69,252 (7.3%). India and the USA follow with 24,949 (2.6%) and 17,042 (1.8%), respectively.

From neighboring Turkey, 5,539 tourists arrived in Armenia. Notably, there has been a sharp decline in the number of tourists from Russia. While 519,186 tourists visited Armenia in the first six months of 2023, this number has decreased by about 10%, reaching 395,688 in the same period of 2024.
