Citizen of the Dominican Republic Attempts to Smuggle Cocaine Through Armenia to Turkey
A citizen of the Dominican Republic, identified as M.H., arriving in Armenia via a transit flight, was found to have three packages weighing a total of 3 kilograms of cocaine in his suitcase. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee.
Based on the features of Articles 393 and 399 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, a criminal case has been initiated, and M.H. has been detained by court order.
According to the State Revenue Committee, Armenia was a transit country in this case, with Turkey being the destination for the cocaine. Operational and investigative measures are continuing to identify the parties involved.
