This is the first significant achievement of the Armenian Olympic team at these Olympic Games: Gagik Tsarukyan

A few moments ago, Arthur Davtyan excelled with impressive jumps to win the title of Olympic silver medalist. This was reported by Gagik Tsarukyan, President of the Armenian Olympic Committee, on his Facebook page.

"This is the first significant achievement of the Armenian Olympic team at these Olympic Games, and on this occasion, I sincerely congratulate our compatriots around the world. I have said and will say again that today our nation needs victories, and only through this victorious joy will we rediscover our national unity and solidarity. With the hope of more medals, I wish our other Olympians success once again. The prayers and support of the entire Armenian nation are with our Olympians. God be our helper," wrote Gagik Tsarukyan.

It is noteworthy that gymnast Arthur Davtyan won a silver medal at the ongoing Summer 33rd Olympic Games in Paris. Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist, world champion, and two-time European champion Arthur Davtyan scored 14.966 points in the final of the vault event, earning the title of Olympic silver medalist for the first time in his career.
