Import Restrictions on Agricultural Products to Russia to be Lifted on Monday for One Organization: Food Safety Authority

The head of the Food Safety Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Hayrapetyan, and the head of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Sergey Dankvert, discussed the issues related to the ban on agricultural product imports to Russia by 16 Armenian organizations today in a video conference format.

According to the Food Safety Authority, Ghazar Barseghyan, Minister of Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission, also participated in the discussions at the EEC platform.

As a result of the discussions regarding the data from the current phase of Armenian studies on the issue, it was agreed to lift the import restrictions for one organization on Monday.

Agreements were reached on approaches to resolving the issue, and negotiations will continue next week between the deputies of the respective departments.
