Electric Buses Arrive in Gyumri

The electric buses acquired through EU funding as part of the program "Alliance for Sustainable and Green Governance" have arrived in Gyumri. A total of five electric buses have been secured under this initiative.

During a conversation with journalists, Gyumri's Mayor Vardges Samsonyan stated, "Just as the train was the first to enter Gyumri, the first electric buses in the whole Caucasus have also entered Gyumri. The program consists of several components, including the buses, which are entirely electric. We are informed that Gyumri is the first to receive electric buses in the Caucasus. It seems there is a tradition here; the train was the first to enter Gyumri, and this is a matter of pride for us. We are considering gradually replacing our public transport with electric buses. In that regard, we are already discussing possible projects and resources."

According to the mayor, the fare for the electric buses will be 100 drams.
