It Cannot Be Ruled Out That the Case Will Be Closed: What Developments Will the Educator's Case Have
According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd," law enforcement agencies intend to close the case regarding the incident at the Vardavar kindergarten in Vedi, but no decision has been made yet. We tried to clarify this information with the Investigative Committee, which responded that the preliminary investigation is currently continuing in a normal manner.
Recall that on July 26, a video was published online showing how a kindergarten employee resorted to physical violence by beating a child. The Investigative Committee reported that the educator has been charged under Article 196, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, which pertains to causing physical pain or mental suffering to a minor.
Interestingly, the child's parents have not filed a complaint against the educator. Meanwhile, Hermine Sargsyan, the educator from the Vedi kindergarten "Zartonk," who beat a senior group student, A.K., during nap time, has expressed regret over her actions and is ready to apologize to both the child and the parents. This was stated by Hermine Sargsyan's attorney, Arthur Nahapetyan, who noted: "She regrets what happened and has expressed her willingness to apologize to both the child and the parents." It cannot be ruled out that in this case as well, based on genuine remorse, the case may be closed. We will follow the developments.
