More than 5.7 Tons of Goods Seized in Yerevan to Prevent Illegal Outdoor Trade
More than 5.7 tons of goods have been seized in Yerevan as part of efforts to prevent illegal outdoor trade. This information was reported during a working consultation at the Yerevan City Hall by Aram Gyulzadyan, the head of the Public Order Protection Service.
The Yerevan municipality organizes periodic inspections and issues fines for violations. However, illegal trade continues to take place in the same locations even after municipal employees leave.
“During the reporting period, approximately 5,720 kg of goods were seized for trading and providing services in non-designated areas,” said Gyulzadyan.
A total of 111 protocols have been drawn up under Article 162 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Armenia.
