Former BBC Presenter Accused of Distributing Explicit Images of Minors

The 62-year-old Hugh Edwards, a former BBC presenter, is accused of creating inappropriate images involving minors, according to The Sun.

Edwards left the broadcaster in 2024. The investigation indicates that from December 2020 to April 2022, he allegedly shared images of children via WhatsApp messaging.

According to the tabloid, the case includes footage with varying levels of cruelty. Edwards faces up to 10 years in prison.

It is noted that the presenter was considered "one of the most experienced and respected," having been trusted to cover state events.
