Traffic Violations Recorded by Police Patrol Service from January 1 to July 25
The Police Patrol Service of the Republic of Armenia has recorded approximately 515,430 traffic violations from January 1 to July 25, 2024. Out of these violations, the majority, 89,921, were issued for not wearing seat belts, while 44,320 were for exceeding speed limits. Additionally, 10,408 violations were issued for driving under the influence, and 14,869 for using a mobile phone while driving.
During the same period, the Patrol Service also issued 13,066 citations for smoking while driving, and 15,352 for driving with tinted windows. A total of 22,328 citations were issued for non-functional vehicle lights, and another 11,275 for double parking, with 1,054 citations for parking on sidewalks.
Furthermore, the Patrol Service recorded 17,595 violations for pedestrians crossing in undesignated areas, along with an additional 274,846 citations for other traffic violations.
This data shows the substantial efforts made by the patrol service to maintain road safety and adhere to traffic regulations.
