Police Disarm Passenger of Gazelle with Gun and Hidden-Blade Knives

On July 26, the officers of the Patrol Service of the Armenian Police in the Armavir region, led by the commander of the brigade, Gharib Grigoryan, along with the patrol officers of the first brigade of the Yerevan division under the command of Deputy Commander Levon Manukyan, successfully disarmed a civilian following an emergency call.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a passenger on the Ejmiadzin-Yerevan route noticed a suspicious individual onboard the transport who appeared to be carrying weapons. This concerned citizen reported to the operational management center of the RA Police, from where the information was relayed to the Patrol Service unit in Armavir.

The local patrol officers, led by G. Grigoryan, quickly arrived at the designated location in Ejmiadzin. However, they soon discovered that the Gazelle vehicle had already proceeded towards Yerevan. Upon realizing that the Gazelle had crossed into Yerevan from Armavir, the Vagharschapat patrol officers and police informed their colleagues in Yerevan. At Argavand, the Deputy Commander of the Second Platoon of the First Battalion of the Kotayk region Police, Grigor Matevosyan, and junior patrol officer Mher Shakhnazaryan were able to expertly neutralize the suspect.

According to the reporter's information, the individual disarmed is a 37-year-old resident of Armavir region, Vladimir S.

Upon searching, a handgun and hidden-blade knives were discovered in his possession.
