Video: Footage from the Car Explosion in Moscow Revealed

The explosion of a Toyota Land Cruiser in northern Moscow might be linked to the official activities of its owner, according to one theory reported by TASS, citing law enforcement sources.

"According to one of the theories, the explosion is connected to the official activities of the vehicle's owner," the publication states.

The investigation is currently exploring several hypotheses regarding the incident.

It has also been revealed that the owners of the exploded vehicle were a serviceman and his wife. The explosion occurred around 6:30 AM on Sinyavinskaya Street in the Molzhaninovsky district.

As a result of the incident, two people were injured: the driver and a passenger. Reports indicate that the man has lost both of his legs.

According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, the cause of the emergency was the activation of an explosive device. A criminal case has been initiated.
