Operations of Mega Trade Gasoline Station and Oil Products Warehouse Completely Halted
Based on the directive of the head of the Inspection Body for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety, a fire-technical investigation was conducted on June 12, 2024, by experts of the Inspection Body at the operational hazardous production facilities located at 17 Sevan Street in Yerevan, specifically at the gasoline station of Mega Trade LLC, the liquefied hydrocarbon gas filling station, and the oil products warehouse.
As a result of the fire-technical investigations, numerous violations of fire safety regulatory documents requirements were identified and recorded both at the gasoline station and the combined liquefied hydrocarbon gas station, as well as at the warehouse. The violations discovered during the investigation pose direct and immediate threats of fire outbreaks and endanger the safety of human life and health.
Therefore, considering the riskiness and danger level of the violations regarding fire safety requirements, based on the decision of the head of the Inspection Body, the operation of the gasoline station, liquefied hydrocarbon gas combined station, and the oil products warehouse at 17 Sevan Street, Yerevan, has been completely halted until the identified violations are rectified.
As a result of the cooperation between the Inspection Body and the RA Compulsory Enforcement Service, both the gasoline station and the liquefied hydrocarbon gas filling station have been sealed. It should be noted that the Inspection Body has requested the dismantling of the oil products warehouse containers within a short timeframe, which has been carried out by the operator.
