Woman Murdered in Gyumri, Body Attempted to Be Concealed in Travel Bag

A woman has been murdered in Gyumri, and her body was attempted to be transported in a travel bag, reports "Zhoghovurd." On July 21, law enforcement received a call from G. H., who reported that upon returning from Russia in the morning, he had discovered his sister's corpse at home.

Authorities found the decomposed body of V. H. on the living room floor, who had been wanted by the Kumayri police since February 8, 2024, as a person who lost contact with her relatives. Police arrested V. P. on suspicion of murder in the village of Karashamb, Kotayk province, at 1:40 AM.

V. P. confessed that in late April to early May 2023, while at V. H.'s home, he had struck her in the face several times during an argument over personal matters. Upon waking up at 6 AM, he found that V. H. was dead and attempted to conceal her body in a travel bag and move it to another location. However, unable to fit her into the bag, he covered V. H. with a blanket and left the scene. A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of murder.
