Video: Casualties and Severe Injuries in Major Chain Accident in Yerevan

Three fatalities have been reported as a result of a major traffic accident that occurred on David Bek Street in Yerevan. An investigation is underway, with details provided by the Investigative Committee.

On July 22, 2024, at approximately 09:58, a "ZIL" vehicle lost control and collided with seven other vehicles on the roadway opposite house number 45 on David Bek Street. As a outcome of the accident, three individuals have died, and one person has been transported to the "Erebuni" Medical Center with injuries classified as severe.

Following the incident on July 22, 2024, a criminal proceeding was initiated under Article 342, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code by the Traffic Crime Investigation Division of the Yerevan Investigative Department. Investigators conducted examinations of the accident scene and the involved vehicles, and forensic examinations of the deceased have been assigned. Measures are being taken to identify participants in the accident and to clarify the causes and circumstances that led to this tragic outcome.
