Major Car Accident in Vayots Dzor Province, Injuries Reported

Today, on July 22, a major car accident occurred in Vayots Dzor province. Around 09:00, on the 107 km stretch of the Yerevan-Meghri interstate highway, a collision took place between a "GAZ 2705" vehicle driven by 53-year-old Hayk Hunanayn from Vayots Dzor province and a "MAZ 526 B" vehicle driven by 41-year-old Arthur Khachatryan from Syunik province.

According to reports from shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, H. Hunanayn's vehicle overturned, and he was transported to the Vayots Dzor Medical Center with bodily injuries.

Authorities have cordoned off the area, and rescuers are on duty after disconnecting the vehicles from power. Information about the accident has been conveyed to the Vayots Dzor regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee, where an investigative team has arrived. A criminal case has been initiated based on the accident.
