VIDEO: Mount Etna Erupts Again in Sicily

Mount Etna, one of the most active volcanoes in Europe, has erupted again on the Italian island of Sicily. Volcanic activity observed in recent weeks continues at the mountain, which rises nearly 3,300 meters above sea level.

According to data from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in Italy, one of Etna's craters, Voragine, which has recently shown signs of activity, started to eject ash and lava again last night. Lava flows have been observed on the slopes of the volcano, with ash emissions reaching heights of approximately 6 kilometers.

Due to the volcanic activity in Voragine, excursions to an elevation of 2,500 meters above sea level and on Mount Etna have been temporarily suspended. Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe, and its height is constantly changing due to frequent eruptions.
