The Olympic Flame is Already in Paris
The flame was brought to the capital of France yesterday. According to the schedule, it was carried through Montmartre on Monday and then proceeded to the Arc de Triomphe, Roland Garros Stadium, and later to the National Institute of Sport (INSEP).
As expected, French Olympic judo champion Clarisse Agbégnénou will ascend the Eiffel Tower with the Olympic flame torch. Other athletes and celebrities entrusted with lighting the flame in Paris include former French footballer and coach Luis Fernandez, as well as singer and actor Eddy de Pretto.
The relay will conclude at 20:00 local time (22:00 Yerevan time) at Republic Square, where a large concert will take place.
On July 14, the day of the storming of the Bastille, the Olympic flame reached Paris. It was carried through the Champs-Élysées and then passed by the National Assembly building, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre.
The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will kick off on July 26.
