The Olympic Flame Has Arrived in Paris

The flame was brought to the French capital yesterday. According to the plan, on Monday it will be carried through Montmartre, followed by a journey to the Arc de Triomphe, the Roland Garros stadium, and then to the National Institute of Sport (INSEP).

It is expected that French judo Olympic champion Clarisse Agbegnenou will ascend the Eiffel Tower with the Olympic flame torch. Among other athletes and celebrities entrusted with lighting the flame in Paris are former French footballer and coach Luis Fernandez, as well as singer and actor Eddy de Pretto.

The relay will conclude at 20:00 local time (22:00 Yerevan time) at the Place de la République, where a grand concert will take place.

On July 14, the day of the Storming of the Bastille, the Olympic flame reached Paris. It was carried through the Champs-Élysées, past the National Assembly building, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre.

The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will commence on July 26.
