The head of the family (and simultaneously the father of the groom), Mukesh Ambani, is the owner of India’s largest holding company, Reliance Industries, primarily involved in oil and gas extraction, as well as oil refining. According to the latest estimates from Forbes, Mukesh Ambani's fortune is valued at $124 billion. Ambani has three children, all of whom hold leadership positions in their father's company. Anant is the youngest of the children. It is noteworthy that for Anant's older sister's wedding, the family spent $100 million.

The bride, Radika Merchant, also comes from a wealthy family. Although her father's fortune is much more modest, it is estimated to be only $90 million. The bride's father, Viren Merchant, is the owner of Encore Healthcare, which produces pharmaceuticals for the Indian pharmaceutical industry. Radika is also a board member of the company.

The newlyweds met in 2017 through mutual acquaintances. Initially, they connected as friends, but when Anant learned that Radika, like him, loves taking care of animals, he realized it was fate.

There was a flood of celebrities at Anant and Radika's wedding, both local and international. For instance, a few days before the main celebration, the newlyweds invited Justin Bieber to perform. The wedding itself was attended by Kim and Khloé Kardashian, Mike Tyson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and many other celebrities. Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also attended the celebration, arriving with his family.

The wedding of Anant and Radika was held in accordance with traditional customs. Additionally, Mukesh Ambani’s wife, Nita Ambani, stunned attendees with a 100-carat yellow diamond necklace. Jewelry makers from Mumbai’s Kantilal Chhotalal spent over 1,000 hours crafting the necklace. The exquisite 100-carat yellow diamond is surrounded by portrait diamonds, paired with an 80-carat emerald, and features five rows of shimmering solitaires that create a beautiful necklace.

"Creating the necklace required more than 1,000 hours of handcrafted work, and it features an attractive 100-carat yellow diamond and an 80-carat emerald," the jewelers wrote on Instagram. She complemented the necklace with yellow diamond earrings that are highlighted by perfectly cut portrait diamonds.
