Possible Candidate for Iran's Foreign Minister Revealed
Abbas Araqchi, the former deputy foreign minister of Iran, is highly likely to become the head of the foreign affairs ministry in the new government of the Islamic Republic’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian.
This was reported by the Tasnim agency, citing sources from the newly elected president’s circle. According to their information, Pezeshkian's political advisors believe that Araqchi is the most suitable candidate to lead the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
If 'nothing extraordinary' occurs, the politician's candidacy will be submitted for discussion in the Islamic Republic's parliament. According to agency sources, Araqchi is currently serving as an advisor to Pezeshkian on foreign policy matters. He has notably been the president's advisor during recent phone conversations with leaders of Islamic resistance groups and heads of regional states.
