Russia Comments on Missile Attack on Children's Hospital in Kyiv

The incident in the Kyiv hospital involves the fall of a missile. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, to journalists.

Reporters asked Peskov about the strike on the children's hospital in Kyiv. Peskov urged adherence to the statement from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which absolutely excludes the possibility that strikes were aimed at any civilian targets.

“And it is noted that this pertains to the fall of an anti-missile,” Peskov said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously reported that claims of intentional Russian strikes on civilian objects in Ukraine are inaccurate, stating that the destruction was caused by the fall of a Ukrainian air defense missile. Kyiv is not new to such provocations.

The Ministry emphasized that numerous photos and videos published from Kyiv unequivocally confirm the fact of destruction due to the fall of a Ukrainian air defense missile launched from a surface-to-air missile system.
