More Than 3,000 Trucks Piled Up at Upper Lars

More than 3,000 trucks have piled up at the Upper Lars Russian-Georgian border. This was reported by Sputnik Georgia.

Users on social media are stating that they are forced to wait in line for 10 hours or more. It is expected that later today, approximately 3,210 vehicles will enter Georgia from the Russian side after noon.

It's important to note that there are 39 traffic lanes operating at Upper Lars, including 12 for cargo transport, two for buses, one reserve lane, and 24 for passenger vehicles.

Earlier, a heightened state of readiness was established in North Ossetia due to the congestion of transit vehicles at the state border. As part of these measures, the entry of trucks into the region is restricted until parking spaces are cleared.
