VIDEO. Extensive Missile Strike on Ukraine. Children's Hospital Damaged in Kyiv. Casualties Reported

The Ukrainian Air Force was alerted about the launch of the first missile at 09:51 AM. Following that, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that air defense forces were operating in the region.

The Kyiv City Military Administration also noted that missile fragments fell in the Solomianskyi, Dniprovs'kyi, Darnyts'kyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Desnyans'kyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts as a result of the missile attack. The strikes caused damage to garages, private homes, and the Okhmadyt children's hospital, with several fires breaking out as well.

According to the mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, there are currently eight reported injuries, with six individuals hospitalized. Later, it was reported that five people have lost their lives.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that in total, the Russian military launched 40 missiles of various types towards Ukraine.
