VIDEO: Erdogan Meets with Turkish National Football Team Players in Locker Room

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with the Turkish national football team players and coaching staff in the locker room of Berlin’s Olympiastadion following their Euro 2024 quarter-final match.

The Turkish team was defeated 1-2 by the Netherlands and eliminated from the tournament. Erdogan watched the match from the stands with his wife.

In Italian, Erdogan thanked the team’s Italian head coach Vincenzo Montella for his efforts. Throughout Euro 2024, the Turkish team achieved three victories. In the group stage, they defeated Georgia 3-1, lost to Portugal 0-3, and beat the Czech Republic 2-1. In the Round of 16, they eliminated Austria with a score of 2-1.
