Several Arrested in France on Suspicion of Preparing Terrorist Attacks

French law enforcement has arrested several individuals in recent days on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games. This was stated by France's Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, during a broadcast on the BFMTV channel.

"The terrorist threat remains extremely serious. We have not disclosed this in recent days because we are in an electoral campaign, but we have arrested individuals who may have planned and executed terrorist attacks," Darmanin said.

The Minister of the Interior did not specify the exact number of suspects, only stating that several arrests had been made in two different locations. The French judicial system is handling these cases, he added.
