Trade Between Russia and Iran Increased
Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted the growth in trade with Iran. "This year, our trade volume has increased by 14 percent compared to the same period last year," said the Russian leader during a meeting with Iran's Acting President Mohammad Mohberi.
According to Putin, "The free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran will contribute to the further strengthening of economic ties." He also reminded that member countries of the organization are considering Iran's application for observer status within the EEU.
