Return Rights Must Be Ensured Reciprocally: Aliyev

Return rights must be ensured reciprocally, including for representatives of the "Western Azerbaijan Community." This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

This statement was made in response to comments from the Canadian ambassador regarding the right of return. Aliyev claimed that last century, the "indigenous Azerbaijani population faced ethnic cleansing in Armenian territory at various stages, the last being in 1988, and that their material and cultural heritage was completely destroyed."
