No Prosecutor Received State Award by Presidential Decree on the 105th Anniversary of the RA Prosecutor's Office
According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", many prosecutors left the Office of the Prosecutor General yesterday feeling deeply upset. The matter is that on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia and the day of the Prosecutor's Office employee, a solemn meeting of the Prosecutor's Collegium was held, attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, Deputy Prosecutors General, members of the Prosecutor's Collegium, many prosecutors, and others.
As a result, some prosecutors were awarded certificates of appreciation, and at the end of the meeting, other prosecutors received certificates, commemorative watches, the "105th Anniversary Medal of the RA Prosecutor's Office", the "RA Prosecutor's Office" badge, and two prosecutors were granted an extraordinary class rank by the order of the Prosecutor General. However, a significant number of prosecutors felt sad because, on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, heads of investigative committees were awarded state prizes by presidential decree for their service to the homeland, while not a single prosecutor received any similar award by presidential decree, which, according to internal conversations among prosecutors, gives rise to concern.
