New Occupation Demands Presented to Armenia: Tatoyan

Azerbaijan's "peace-loving" government propaganda is presenting new occupation demands to Armenia, this time with a more sobering outlook. Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan stated this on his Facebook page.

“Accordingly, two amendments related to the so-called resettlement of 'Western Azerbaijanis' should be made in the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia:

1. Ensuring the security of 'Western Azerbaijanis' under the guarantees of a foreign mediating mission. Armed forces from a country that is allied with Azerbaijan and enjoys trust must be deployed in Armenia (it is clear which country this is).
2. Ensuring the right to education in Azerbaijani for 'Western Azerbaijanis.'

These proposals represent new developments in the occupation concept of 'Western Azerbaijan,' based on absolute falsehoods that cannot be overlooked. Furthermore, various sources from the Azerbaijani government indicate that the number of those subject to 'rehabilitation' is 300,000.

These show that the Azerbaijani government's so-called peace efforts are a facade for the external world. In reality, a policy of occupying Armenia is being pursued; it is merely done under the guise of humanitarianism.

This is reminiscent of what was done in Artsakh. Initially, the isolation of Artsakh with the real aim of ethnic cleansing was implemented through “eco-activists,” followed by the establishment of an Azerbaijani checkpoint and a complete blockade of the roads leading to Artsakh, after which armed attacks against Artsakh commenced.

All of this was showcased on the Azerbaijani government’s “Baku TV,” where fake facts are presented as justification.
