NATO Is Actually the One Constantly Challenging China: Mao Nin

NATO is meddling in China’s internal affairs and distorting the country’s internal and foreign policies. This statement was made by Mao Nin, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“I do not know what NATO’s values are. If they are about using ideological lines to create contradictions, provoke confrontations, and escalate tensions, then China truly cannot agree with that,” stated Mao Nin.

According to the Chinese diplomat, it is actually NATO that consistently poses challenges to China, interferes in China's internal affairs, distorts and vilifies China’s domestic and foreign policies, and presents a serious challenge to Beijing's interests and security.

It is worth noting that earlier, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated in an interview with the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri that the alliance does not consider China an adversary, but acknowledges that Beijing poses a challenge to NATO’s values, interests, and security.
