Baku has offered Yerevan the 'Kaliningrad Model' twice, Sputnik Armenia reports

The Armenian side has not commented on Baku's proposed 'Kaliningrad Model' for connecting Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan. According to Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government's position on unblocking the region's economic infrastructure is reflected in the 'Peace Junction' project.

Baku has offered Yerevan the 'Kaliningrad Model' twice for connections with Nakhichevan. The most recent mention of this issue was made by Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on foreign policy, during a diplomatic forum in Antalya on March 1 of this year, calling it a 'potential solution.'

'The government's stance on unblocking the region's economic infrastructure is encapsulated in the 'Peace Junction' project, which must be realized through the four principles included in it,' stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry also reminded of the format concerning the delimitation of the state border and security issues between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
